Snuggly Buggly Coat

In addition to the mohair Winter Warmer coats I have a Snuggly Buggly coat made from some gorgeous boucle Noro yarn. This one will be $45 due to the cost of the yarn. Sorry if anyone thought it was the usual price of $30 like the others.
If I work really hard over the next few days I should have a good bunch of things ready. Including coats, anoraks, Mini Madge hats, Strawberry Shortcake dress sets and maybe a little custom cake too :D

Winter Warmer Coats

I am currently working on some more Winter Warmer coats that I will preview on flickr as they are finished. I am not ultra quick at the moment as I am working on some commissions too. The long coats are $30 and the shorter anorak style is $27. I also have some more Mini Madge hats and dress sets if I can find the time :D
If anyone isn't on the mailing list and wants to be please send me your email address and you will be mailed with any details when I list. I can't take anymore commissions at the moment until I have caught up with the ones I have. I so wish I had more hours in the day, I could crochet and stitch and knit and spin FOREVER!

Cake Bubble dress sets

Hallelujah, I had a day to myself today!
So due to the fact that I actually managed to sew today I will be listing a few dress sets for Strawberry Shortcake. They are little bubble dresses with matching Granny Madge hats and vinyl boots. These are $19.50 + postage.

Shop Update

This Friday October 2nd at 5 - 6pm ish UK time I will be listing some new items in the shop.

GRANNY MADGE IS BACK!! October 15th she will be 89!
She was getting a bit bored again so I popped over with a bag of yarn and told her to make a couple of mini Madge hats for the Strawberry Shortcake girls and a couple of scarves for Blythe.......a few days later I get a bag with 23 scarves and 14 hats!!!!!! So I will attempt to photograph all of them in time for the update! The hats also fit Susie Sad eyes nicely and should fit Lati yellow too. The hats are $6.50 each and the scarves $3.50 each (not including postage..see below)

I also have the new Winter Warmer anorak (2 finished so far, 4 more nearly done) and the zip up coat (more to come) The anorak will be $27 and the zip up coat $30 There are also 2 Susie Sad eyes coats up for grabs, these are $25 each.

I have stopped the postage included idea as it was not fair on folk in the UK really paying more than necessary.

What's new

I am busy designing my 'new look' and some new designs to go with it! I hope to launch it this week but sometimes 'real work' gets in the way and messes up my plans :(
I wanted a simple and more classy logo that I can stick with (instead of my usual flitting from one thing to another like a butterfly!) I hope I can get the new things finished soon and fill the shop with some colourful goodies for your little ones! I am also open to requests now, but please bear in mind I may not be able to do everything asked for.
I am also planning on buying a spinning wheel to create my own yarns too, but that might take a bit of time!! I'll keep you posted!
The studio is tidy for once and I feel much more organized, ready to go into winter prepared for some serious crochet and knitting :D

Flights of Fancy

I am a little haphazard in my designs just lately and find myself flitting from one thing to another. So this week I will have a mixed bag of things to offer! My latest design 'Flights of Fancy' which is a bonnet and dress trimmed with lots of feathers, my Piksy coat in two sizes, one for Blythe and one for Susie Sad Eyes, Minnie and miniscule mouse sets and a couple of mohair cakes :D

Blythe Land Army

On Tuesday 1st September I will be listing my Blythe Land Army sets on etsy. I don't have a specific time in mind as I have a lot of boring stuff to do that day, so just keep checking the shop!

There will be 4 sets split into two parts each. One part will be aran sweater, pants and army cap and is $45 (inc postage) and the other set will be pinny dress and headscarf and is $25 (inc postage)
I won't be making any more of these, they are one of a kind.
The army badges are original from WWII, from a lovely lady at an antique fair. She did tell me what all the colours represent but I forgot! I hope you all like them, they were good fun to do :D

Strawberry Shortcake Babies!

Random dollies

My day job

Please go have a look at our engineering companies new website! We are in the process of trying to give the business a bit of a boost and the website is part of that new image. You will need sound and look out for me (age 11) in the about us section (look at the 70's!!) We noticed that all engineering company websites made you want to go to sleep they were so boring so we tried to add an amusing touch!! My grandad started the company in 1945 and we are very proud we are still around, we are just trying to keep it that way!!!

Strawberry Shortcake customs

I am at present working on some Strawberry Shortcake customs. I managed to buy a job lot at the weekend so I have LOTS of little ones coming over to the Polly Makeover studio!! I am not selling these on etsy but direct to customers so if anyone is interested in one please email me for details. I sell these complete with an outfit made by me.

I like to be fair so I will work in order of who asks first but I won't be taking special commissions for colours etc as I really don't know which dolls will work with what colour hair/outfit until I start making them. I will try to do a good range of colours so that there is plenty to choose from and pics will go on flickr as they get finished.

Prices range from $35 - $50 depending on the doll/condition etc. I am going to have to charge postage on top of this now as postal costs are just a bit too much for me to include :(

Yet another Update!

Due to last weekends awfulness I am a bit behind with the finishing off on the new collection so I am going to list on Sunday (this weekend 2nd August) instead of Friday. I will list half the collection at 9am UK time and the rest at 5pm UK time. I hope these times suit as many people as possible, it is hard to get it right sometimes! Update

After an awful weekend (my daughter's lovely cat Petey was run over and died) and computer problems I have immersed myself in finishing off the Rainbow Drops and Fluffy Clouds collection. It always cheers me up to stitch :)

Computer Problems!

I am suffering from a bout of aol flu at the moment so if I am missing you now why :( I am trying to get the new collection ready for the end of next week as long as I can sort out my computer problems. There are also some Strawberry Shortcakes at the spa having makeovers which should be ready at a similar time (fingers crossed!) Please bear with me!

Rainbow Drops and Fluffy Clouds

I have made a decision that from now on my little collections will be totally one off NOT to be repeated and will come out all together with NO top ups. I decided this because I have a problem with too many ideas and not enough time and I thought it would be a good way of me getting them all out and not take my time up making repeats of the same things. This will mean that things are more exclusive and each collection will be different to the next containing various items ranging from separate pieces to full sets. Included will be miniature versions for Strawberry Shortcakes where possible :D

To avoid people missing out I will do 2 listing times within 24 hours. One my usual 5pm UK time and another I would like you (my lovely customers!) to suggest. Please bear in mind I am a morning girl, not a night owl...lol. When I see what times are suggested I will come up with one to suit most people. Please see if you can tell me what UK time you would like so I don't get confused :D

The first new collection will be ready in the next week or so:

Rainbow Drops and Fluffy Clouds

This will be a rainbow or colourful crochet Toot helmets (a blast from the past!) with chinstrap and button fastening and fluffy mohair edges. they will be in Blythe and SSC size. To go with these are pure white dresses, shorts, tutu tops and rompettes (for the SSC!)

Home Again!

Back home, worn out from doing nothing! It's a hard life :D

Off on my Holidays!

Its the time of year to lie in the shade of a parasol on the beach in lovely Crete! Thats where I will be from Sunday 5th July till Monday 20th July. I will be unable to answer any messages till I get back, but will be dreaming of new designs while I doze! Thanks so much to all my lovely friends for supporting me and just being wonderful :D Creativity has kept me going through some tough times and I couldn't do it without all of you out there!

The Summer Festival Collection

This Friday at the usual listing time of 5pm (UK time) I will be updating my shop with the new Summer Festival collection pieces.

The Happy Hippie Hat - A floppy crochet hat made from luxury yarn that is 45% silk 45% kid mohair and 10% lambswool. Each is different to the next due to the nature of the yarn and the way the colours change. These are decorated with flowers and beads (and some with metal butterflies) Sumptuous gorgeousness to keep the sun out of your girl's eyes (and keep her 'skin' looking young!) These are $28 inc postage.

The Glastonbury Gown - A fine cotton dress with elasticated top and crochet halterneck ties with shell beads on the ends. These are then individually hand tie dyed (in minature!) All are washed very thoroughly after the dying but as with all clothing I do not recommend leaving on your dolly for long periods just in case! I have had them on my dolls for a week and no problems :D She'll be cool in the day and still elegant at night!!
These are $22 inc postage

The Woodstock waistcoat - A real Hippie item!! Crocheted from a fine version of the hat yarn with lots of tassels all around the hem, each with a glass bead on the end. Fastens at the front with ties decorated with shell beads on the ends. Groovy!! These are $25 each inc postage.

Summer Festival Collection

Coming soon is my Summer Festival Collection! All your Blythe will need to enjoy this years music festivals (except the wellies!) We have the Gastonbury gown, a minature tie-dye cotton dress with halterneck straps with shell beads on the ends.....The Woodstock waistcoat, crocheted from a lovely wool/silk/kid mohair blend yarn with tassles and beads and a tie front.....And a matching Happy Hippie hat that is floppy and gorgeous with flower beads decorating it, perfect for keeping cool if its nice and sunny! I will be listing these as separate items so you can choose which you would like rather than having to get a full set.

What's happening?

Hello Everyone!

Last week was a bit of a downer as we had to have our 54+ year old tortoise Tommy (who turned out to be a girl after all these years!) put to sleep. So we took off in our tent and had a few days by the seaside. Feeling a bit better and refreshed (and a head full of new ideas!) I am stitching and knitting and crocheting again :D

Custom Strawberry Shortcake dolls

I have been customising some vintage Strawberry Shortcake dolls for a little while now and can't really keep them alll to myself so I am considering selling them. As with all custom dolls they are not perfect but they are lots of fun. If anyone is interested in these please ask. I will be very honest describing their faults and they will come with tights, Magical dream dress and hat and lots of love!
